| I wish there was a 4.5 rating, as I think the Birdy is worth more than four, but there you go! I used to ride a brompton 2 miles to the train station, then ride the train 6 stops (it's a suburban train in Budapest) and then ride the last one-mile leg to work. Once I got the Birdy, I found myself ignoring the train and riding the whole way - and enjoying it too! The ride is so vastly superior to the Brompton, that I can forgive its much larger, clumsier fold. If I could change anything, it would be to convert the gears from derailleur to SRAM 7-speed and that's why I only awarded it four out of five. If you're after a more upright riding position, be sure to get the comfort stem. I'm glad I did. I will yield this to the Brompton; the luggage options are much the better - another reason for the lost star, I suppose... |
