This is a great trailer - bought when twins were nine months old (now 18). What surprised me is how good it is as a buggy, it's now our favourite buggy (we have three others..) It's light to push, waterproof, and has storage space for changing bag and some shopping. The only downside is how much space it takes up in the car (or van really..) but we left things out so that we could take it on holiday, it's that good. If i'd known how good it was as a buggy, we'd have bought it from birth and used the baby sling things, we waited until 9 months so they could sit up and even then they needed some pillows to prop them up. They now sleep fine in it, initially we had them very upright, and they slouched forward a bit, and fell asleep head forward, Now we let them slouch back and they fall asleep with their head on the side or each other. As a trailer, i'm surprised how stable and secure it is, less surprised by the extra effort to get up even small slopes, but all good for the legs. We only do short (30 mins) journeys to keep us all fresh, but it increases our range of cafes/parks, and stops us getting bored of the same local ones. It is a lot of money, probably worth more than my car, and you do need to keep your bike healthy (i fitted hydraulic rim brakes - magura) to cope with the extra strain. It is worth it, we use it as a buggy at least once a day, and as a trailer at least twice a week. Look out for the brake rubbing on the underside fabric if the nut has a wee burr on it, that's the only problem we've had with it. We went for the corsaire for the extra storage space, and we're glad we did, the cougar would have been more stylish, but for lugging waterproofs etc, this is much better, we didn't get the captain, seemed to heavy with the plastic base, and the corsaire floor seems fine so far! If you buy one and don't like it, i may be prepared to buy it as a spare!

After many months of research we bought the cougar 2 with the 10-20mnth child support. The trailer does everything it says and more. We have been really pleased with it, as a buggy it is narrower and easier to manouver than most twin prams, the big back wheels and suspension make for a comfortable ride. Our 2 boys (18mnths & 3yrs love it). It is a stable and safe bike trailer (even offroad). The xcountry ski kit is excellent, easy to pull as the skis have less friction than any sledge plus the harness can be used for pulling when trekking (without snow!). Worth every penny. I've yet to find anyone who is disappionted with it
