Next to most items on this website, there is a graphic showing it’s availability - this is what they mean: - this means that we have the item on the shelf. Depending on how busy we are, it will be despatched the day of your order or the day after.
- either we have temporarily run out, or we don’t normally stock this item but can reliably get it within 7 days. It will be sent out to you a day or two later.
- this usually applies to bikes and other custom-made things. For these orders, we take a 25% deposit before we start on your order, then the balance when your order is shipped. We’ll keep you fully up-to-date with progress, of course...
- sometimes, it’s impossible to give an accurate figure on the website - this can happen either because the supplier is rather erratic, or because there are so many possibilities that we cannot list every eventuality. When you order, we will do our best to pin down an exact delivery date, and of course give you the option to cancel if it’s taking too long.
For techie people: These availability details aren’t database-linked yet - they’re just done by hand. So they’re really what we plan to have in stock, not the actual real-time situation. Nevertheless, they are as accurate as possible. When I get really bored, I’ll work out a database system ;-) |
