The Birdy City is designed for simple, reliable commuting - a Shimano Nexus 8-speed hub gear is sealed and needs very little maintenance - and it has a built-in back-pedal brake as well which is powerful and cable-less.

The City has a gear range of 2.56 to 7.75 m and weighs 11.3 kg.
