The Hase Tagun is a sporty reworking of the traditional long-wheelbase recumbent design. Traditionally, long-wheelbases have been very good for relaxing touring, but not exactly sporty. The Tagun corrects this, with a light frame, responsive steering, twin 20” wheels and rear suspension. The frame is based on the Lepus frame, and shares the same folding system - the suspension detaches to let the rear wheel fold underneath and the seat folds forwards. If you’re used to older long-wheelbases like the Peer Gynt or Linear, the Tagun will be a surprise - it’s a lot faster for a start! It keeps some of the stately dignified ride of those bikes, but is more manouverable, more aerodynamic (you can have a hardshell carbon seat if you like), and also a lot easier to transport and store. Standard equipment is with DualDrive 27-speed gears and mechanical disc brakes - hydraulic brakes, a Speed Drive or Rohloff, or lighter 9-speed derailleur are available as options, as are lighting systems, carriers, various titanium upgrades, and some very neat Radical side bags.
