There are dozens of different tyre sizes out there, and some of the unusual ones can be very hard to find. Here’s what we have found - we keep all these in stock.
We also stock rims and wheels...
(the number after the size is the ISO number - if you aren’t sure of the size, look for a number like 37-349 on your existing tyre - the 349 is the important bit in this example).
16” (305) - Tactic, some Dahon, some recumbents
Schwalbe Marathon | A good touring tyre, with reflective sidewall, kevlar strip, and a knobblier tread. 47-305
Schwalbe City Jet | A slick but fat tyre - 54-305
Tube | High pressure with Presta valve
16” (349) - Brompton, Micro, old Moulton
Schwalbe Marathon | A good touring tyre, with reflective sidewall, kevlar strip, and a knobblier tread than the Brompton tyre. 37-349
Marathon Plus | Similar to the Marathon, but with an extra SmartGuard layer - this is about as puncture-proof as tyres get!
Primo Comet | Another slick and fast tyre, a bit fatter than the Stelvio (37-349) with a reflective sidewall.
Schwalbe Kojak | The new slick racing tyre - very good. With Raceguard.
Tube | High pressure with Presta valve
17” (369) - Moulton AM & Bridgestone, old Windcheetah
Tube | High pressure with Presta valve
18” (355) - Birdy, some new Trice
Schwalbe Marathon | A good touring tyre, with reflective sidewall, kevlar strip, and a knobblier tread. 40-355
Schwalbe Marathon Racer | The same casing as the Marathon, but with a slicker tread - though not quite as slick as the Marathon Slick. 40-355. This is what Birdy now fit as standard.
Tube | High pressure with Presta valve
20” (406) - too many recumbents and folders to list
Schwalbe Marathon | A good touring tyre, with reflective sidewall, kevlar strip, and a knobblier tread. 40-406
Schwalbe Marathon | As above, but fatter and not reflective - 47-406
Schwalbe Marathon Slick | The same kevlar casing as the Marathon, but with no knobbles. 35-406
Schwalbe Marathon Racer | The same casing as the Marathon, but with a slicker tread - though not quite as slick as the Marathon Slick. Folding kevlar bead.
Schwalbe Marathon Plus Smartguard | About as puncture-proof as a tyre can get - the Smartguard stops almost anything, though it’s a bit heavier than kevlar. 35-406
Schwalbe Marathon Plus Smartguard | As above, but fatter - 47-406
Schwalbe City Jet | A reasonable budget slick tyre - 32-406
Vredestein Monte Carlo | A good mid-range slick tyre 37-406
Vredestein S-Lick | A posher racing tyre - 37-406
Maxxis Hookworm | A huge, tough tyre, really for BMX, but slick. 20 x 1.95
Schwalbe Big Apple | A fat but slick tyre - not too heavy either. Comfy but fast. 50-406
Schwalbe Big Apple | As above, but even fatter - 60-406
Schwalbe Mow Joe | A folding knobbly tyre
Tube | High pressure with Presta valve
20” (451) - some recumbents and folders, but mostly obsolete
Tube | High pressure with Presta valve
